I converted a Spirit 335 from natural gas to propane, and it works perfectly. Clean blue flames are coming from each burner. It involved a series of several simple steps. The hardest part was putting the thread tape on each orifice’s threads. I ended up cutting a 1.5” length of tape for each, folding in half with wise, and wrapping. Just keep the tape clear of the very end of the orifice so you don’t obstruct flow. Any excess will be fine up by the flats that the wrench grabs.
The propane hose is a nice length, too. Thank y’all!
kit contents were high quality. had no install problems. The high and low temp settings were too high so I was sent some small orifices to use which worked out just fine. I would buy from them again.
Worked as indicated.
For anyone on the fence deciding if they can handle performing a conversion, I would say yes, most certainly with this kit. We bought a Weber Genesis SP-E-335 grill a few years back, when we lived in a home with a natural gas hookup for the grill. It was phenomenal since we never had to store tanks. But, when we moved eight months ago, we were stuck. Our new home has natural gas, and I finally found someone to run the pipe but they wanted $1,500. Much research led me to the idea of converting from NG to LP, and even more research led me to Outdoor Gas Products. This set is so complete and so eaay to use. The instructions were spot on, the fit of the venturi jets precise, and the included tools immensely helpful. I did use a little dab of PTFE pipe dope on the threads for the small parts, not the supply hose though, as that looked like the way Weber had assembled it. The conversion, including leak testing, air shutter adjustment, and reassembly to about forty minutes. Real value.
Very quick shipping, good product and price. John was great to find what I needed for a Capital grill that OEM parts are outrageous. He found meoptions that were very reasonable.
